FAQ

I haven’t received a ton of questions, mostly requests for features and bug fixes, but here’s what I have so far…

Q. Is the plugin Word Press 3.0 compatible?

A. As of version 1.7.5b of the plugin, it should be Word Press 3.0 compatible.

Q. How can I display the events page as my site home page?

A. If you’re wanting your website’s front page to be the list of events, first make sure that in the Events Settings under the Display Options tab, you have the “Display on events page” set to Event List. Then Event list page options set to either Current Date or All Dates.

Now in the Word Press Settings menu, click “Reading”. On that settings page there is a radio button for “Static Page”, select that, then there is a pull down menu to select the Front Page. In that drop down, select Event Calendar, then Save Changes. Your Word Press front page should now be set to load the Event Calendar page by default. Let me know if there are any issues.

Q. Will the plugin still work if Word Press is in a sub-folder?

A. If you have the correct url to your site in the Word Press settings, it “should” but if you have any issues, let me know. I’ve also added a setting as of version 1.7.5b that allows you to set the correct url if the plugin did not pull it correctly.

Q. The events in the event list are cluttered, can you move the location down to the next line?

A. I will work on some new layouts, for now you can put a < br / > tag after the event name in the event add/edit forms and it will move the location to the next line. I do not recommend doing this in the location field though because it will probably mess with the Google Map code.
